Real Estate Practice

Terry Garrett has worked on real estate sales and purchases, financing, construction and commercial leasing since 1984. The projects with which she has been involved range from commercial office buildings and manufacturing facilities to hotels and resorts, shopping centers and infrastructure. She represented one of the leading Japanese real estate developers in acquisitions, development and operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Real estate finance is one of her specialties. In addition to construction and take-out loans, she has negotiated unit trusts and limited partnerships, turnkey project financings of manufacturing facilities and securitization of cash flows from properties in the U.S. and abroad. She has advised on interest rate and currency swaps to decrease the effective interest rate.
